Hi everyone!

We had an amazing time at the Art Stroll last weekend. It was one our biggest events. The Art Station, Center Town Gallery(where we are), and North Town Gallery all had brand new work displayed and it was a lot of fun.

We even made the local paper  =) They wrote a really nice article and interviewed Britni and my sis-n-law, Amy.

I was so proud of all the artists... but I was even more proud of my family that night. We had some extra space to fill, so we put up a few of my Granny's paintings and some of my little cousin Olivia.

Well, Olivia sold her first "official" painting, and we are so excited!!

So many people commented on her stuff, and were amazed that she is only 17!! This girl has serious talent- maybe we can convince her to join the Sailor team after she graduates. ;)

We also sold one of my Granny's paintings, The Seed. The woman was buying it for her daughter who was going through some hard times. She was actually crying when she saw it because she said it gave her so much hope.

I wish Granny was here to hear her story because that is why she painted... to inspire and uplift. I am so happy that even now, she is still touching others with her incredible work.

Here are a few more pics from the night!

Sailor Studio First Blog Giveaway

Welcome to Sailor Studio's brand new blog!

You can read about us over there >>>>>>>>>>>

Basically, we were picked this past October to be part of a program designed to bring the arts back into Stone Mountain Village and start revamping the town. We opened a gallery and workshop on Main Street in October. So far, it has been a really hectic ride, but well worth every minute =)

Our hopes for this blog is to use it to promote our studio, but also to connect and network with other artists and online businesses.

We will be posting videos of special events and all the other silly shenanigans that go on at our workshop (there is plenty, believe me) Also, we will post tutorials on enamel on copper and fused glass. =)

Really, we just want to document how three goofy women (family at that) survive their first year of trying to establish a business in an old town village while keeping up with all the other aspects of life.

 We hope you'll join us!

Since we finally got the new Sailor Studio blog up, we have to celebrate... and what better way to do that than with a giveaway:

Simply follow us and comment on this post for a chance to win any Sailor Studio item up to $20.00

Just tell us what you would like to win! =)

Our online store is under construction, so check out our new pieces on Facebook here!
